Driving Inquiry: Climate change is a large and multi-faceted subject. How can I utilize my own style, which has a focus on humans and strong, contrasting colors, combined with personal experience and research to portray climate change from different angles? My works investigate humans' ignorance of climate change, juxtaposing it with the consequences of said actions, but also aim to provide possible solutions for addressing climate change.

Ego
November 2022
Representation of Sigmund Freud’s set of three concepts in psychoanalytic theory: id, superego, and ego. The id is a primitive part of the mind, representing human instincts and desires. The superego consists of values and morals learned from the world. The ego serves as a mediator between the two and reflects reality. In this artwork, half of the person’s face is lit with red light to represent the id, as red is often associated with emotions and desires. The other half is blue with straight hair, which represents the moralistic superego. The ego is the combination of the two and makes up the person in reality.
